Bio

I started painting in 1990 when a friend and accomplished water colour aviation artist, Sam Cole, inspired me to purchase some water colour paints and brushes and put paint to paper.

Encouraged by my first few attempts, I wanted to learn more about painting. Remembering watching "The Magic of Oil Painting" PBS series with Bill Alexander, I also discovered Bob Ross. Almost immediately I changed my medium to oils.

Today I paint mostly in oils and acrylics in mixed media works with varying techniques to achieve greater texture and interest. Having yet to find "my style", I continually experiment with various mediums and genre.

Currently, the journey is more exciting than the far distant destination that I hopefully never reach. Other than a dozen or so workshops over the years, I have not received any formal education in painting. Yes, anyone can paint!
